TDI Trimix Diver
The TDI Trimix course provides the training required to competently and safely utilize breathing gases containing helium for dives that require staged decompression, utilizing nitrox and / or oxygen mixtures during decompression to a maximum depth of 60 metres / 200 feet. The objective of this course is to train divers in the benefits, hazards and proper procedures of utilizing custom oxygen / helium / nitrogen mixtures as breathing gases. Gas mixes are not to have any less than 18 percent oxygen (O2).
Course Pre-requisite
- At least 18 years old 
- TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver or equivalent 
- TDI Decompression Procedures Diver or equivalent 
- 100 Open Water Dives 
Course Components
- Knowledge Development with Written Exam 
- Dry Skills Development 
- Confined Water Skills Development 
- 4 Open Water Dives with a total bottom time of 100 minutes, with 2 dives deeper than 40m 
Course Equipment
- 2 sets of regulators, each with 1 first and second stage, with at least 1 pressure gauge and inflation hose 
- Dive Computer with depth gauge and bottom timer 
- Backmount or Sidemount 
- Line Cutting Device 
- 2 SMB adequate for maximum planned depth 
- 2 set of regulator for decompression mix, with 1 first and second stage and pressure gauge
